How many games will the Brewers win this season?

Trade Possibilities
The main question floating around Brewers camp lately is whether or not they will make a trade prior to opening day. Doug Melvin is appearantly in the market for a trade but, do they need it? The Brew Crew could do away with some of their "fringe" hurlers such as Carlos Villanueva or even Chris Capuano. Do the Brewers want to get rid of players that have showed great promise in the past? Many Brewers fans remember the dominance Villanueva showed last season after moving into a starting role. Even more supporters are hoping Capuano can return to his all-star form of two seasons ago. As shocking as it may seem, i think that they could do without ace Ben Sheets. Sheets has never won more than 12 games in a single season since entering the majors, and his bizarre injury problems have been well documented.

Never! The Brewers wouldn't trade Villanueva, who is still young. I think you might have Carlos Villanueva mixed up with Claudio Vargas. The Brewers are interested in dealing Vargas, as he really has no fit with them, anymore. The rotation will more than likely be Sheets, Gallardo, Suppan, Capuano or Parra (they need a lefty), and Bush or Villanueva. The other 2 would go in the also stacked bullpen as long relievers. As for what we could possibly trade Vargas for...I was thinking probably minor league talent, to rebuild the farm system. You're not going to get much for Vargas, and we don't have a specific need.
Of course I didn't confuse Claudio Vargas with Carlos Villanueva. Villanueva has showed promise, but I was saying that the promise he has shown could be used for some value in the trade market (if they think he cannot grow anymore with them). Face it, with every young player who has pulled a spurt of greatness out of their butt, there is that small chance that it was a fluke. I, personally, do not think that with Villanueva, but who knows what Melvin is thinking. I do agree, though, that with no glaring weaknesses, the Brewers would be better off keeping him. Vargas, however, is indeed a guy that i had forgot about. Def. a trade possibility with him. Don't forget, though, that Gallardo will most likely start the season on the DL. So someone may have to step up to fill the role.
With Gallardo starting the year on the DL, I could see the rotation being Sheets, Suppan, Cappy, Villanueva, and Bush, with Parra and Vargas in the bullpen. I think that Vargas (who has been up/down in spring training) will be traded by the All-Star break, regardless. Unless of course he is an absolute stud in the 'pen, like last year's Okajima from Boston, or LA's Broxton. I don't see that happening however. I also think that Cappy and Bush will rebound and have decent years. Bottom line, is we need to keep Capuano. We have 2 lefties out of our whole logjam of pitchers (Parra). As for a pickup, I'd just like to say, I want to see Jeff Cirillo in a Brewers' jersey by the end of the year (meaning, we sign him at some point during the year).
